Just as much as we enjoy working with dogs, we enjoy sharing our experiences and knowledge with like-minded people. Over the years we held several workshops and courses and became a popular destination for tourists or student groups which booked our half day conservation day where we talk about our work in the field, explain the different dog disciplines and demonstrate what working dogs do to assist us in the fight against crime.

All about understanding your dog, how to build up training, training theories and more. 2 days. R 2950 (per person)

TRACKING/ MANTRAILING WORKSHOP
A half day intensive workshop about the dog's body language on track, scent behaviour and the influence of environmental factors such as terrain, vegetation and weather, problem solving/ obstacle crossing along the track, teamwork dog and handler and practical leash handling training.
This workshop morning is held without dogs. Kennelling facilities for guests with dogs are available on request.
On request this workshop can be stretched over 2 days where we include the practical part and go out tracking with our tracking dogs. We cater for groups or individuals.

CONSERVATION DAY
A half day group experience for your guests/ students/ volunteers about our work in the field. We talk about the different types of poaching and how crimes are connected. We explain the value of dogs working in crime fighting, the different disciplines they are trained in, explain how scent works and how we choose the right dog for the task. The morning is filled with practical activities and demonstrations and the guests can touch real, confiscated poacher equipment and are welcome to try on our working gear (go bag, bullet proof vest). The info is given in English, but we also speak Afrikaans and (Swiss-) German.
